Keto basically refers to ketogenic. It means a diet that is low in carbohydrates. And since the carb content is low, one can get rich values of proteins, fibers, and fats. The basic idea of a Keto diet is to get more calories from nutrients other than carbohydrates. Keto diet is not a one-day procedure but has to be adopted gradually week by week. The diet regime keeps on changing every week. In the first week, one can concentrate on vegetables, meat, nuts, and various dairy products. Add in products such as cream, beacon, avocados, and high-fat diets.

    • It should provide sustained nutritional ketosis

    • It should always provide appropriate nutrients so that one can preserve and improve his or her lean body mass

    • The Keto diet should support the respiratory, muscle, nerve, and circulatory functions. It should be rich in electrolytes and various other essential micronutrients

    • The major intake of essentials should be focused on dietary intake during a Keto diet regime

    • The Keto diet shout not account for calorie counting as that is not relevant in this case

    • The Keto diet usually consists of whole and unprocessed natural foods

    • Any food you include in a keto diet that offers calorie content below 1000 per kcal/d should not be a part of the keto diet due to low nutrients and calories that deprive our body of long-term sustainability

    • The keto diet often requires professional guidance. Exiting or entering the diet without any guidance can cause nutritional deficiencies

    • A good keto diet may or may not adhere to nutritional guidelines followed globally
