Lord Buddha rightly said, “To keep the body in good health is a duty…otherwise we shall not be able to keep the mind strong and clear.” However, it is only when a catastrophe strikes that we realise the value of being healthy. Modern life and stressful work culture are taking a toll on our wellness. We are so engrossed in our technology-driven, materialistic lives that we hardly take time to nurture and nourish our mind, body and soul. 

And that is the reason why more than half of the world’s population is suffering from a variety of health complications and life-threatening diseases. To address this challenge, we have taken a small initiative towards spreading knowledge and building a community that fosters a healthy lifestyle and fitness. Physeek Fit is our brainchild that we dream to establish as India’s largest fitness social marketplace.

2012: A Health Catastrophe Strikes!

Back in 2012, Rajkumar Neelappa, the founder of Physeek Fit, witnessed a serious health hazard when he started experiencing symptoms of cardiovascular disease. The event forced him to be more health-conscious and he started focusing on improving his physical health, nutritious diet and overall wellbeing through yoga. He regularly followed the Internet to educate himself on various aspects of health and fitness.

2015: Physeek Fit Was Found

February 2020: The Six Packs Challenge

Committed towards improved health and wellness, Rajkumar and his team members – Vasanth Vijayan and Vijaykumar Kudumala – with seven others took the Six Packs challenge. The objective was to reduce body fat to less than 12% in just 8 months. Everyone was highly enthusiastic about the challenge but unfortunately, the team had to eventually call-off the challenge due to the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent lockdown across the country.

Absolutely! We all start somewhere. We welcome all levels of practice so you’ll feel right at home in our community.
Wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move and stretch in.
It’s a good idea to come to class hydrated. Try not to eat a full meal at least two hours before class.
With practice, you will notice your body getting stronger and more flexible. Yoga will also improve your posture. It can also help you develop increased mental focus and the ability to stay calm and maintain relaxed breathing.
Ideally, yoga is meant to be a daily practice. If you are a beginner, you can set a goal you can realistically keep. Remember: consistency is key. The more you practice, the better you will feel.

Building a Fitness Social Marketplace

The team endeavoured establishing Physeek Fit more as a social community than just a blog or an online knowledge base. Powered by Facebook and WhatsApp, they transformed their website into a fitness social marketplace where individuals and industry experts can come together, collaborate and help each other in living a healthy and fulfilling life.
